Linocut is an exploration of hand cutting lino blocks and transferring the patterns onto painted grounds. Based on the 2015 hand-printed holiday card, along with additional lino motifs, the vibe is textural and naive. After printing, the designs were scanned, manipulated, and put into repeat. To see the process, click here.

Indigo is an exploration into hand dying including traditional Shibori techniques. In addition to custom pillows and table linens, the motifs serve as the basis for a group of digital patterns. Concentrating on solid, linear and geometric designs creates a modern take on this ancient and tactile process.

Cynara is a collection of patterns based on the artichoke, which is both delicious and gorgeous. Cut artichokes were used as stamps and leaves became brushes for paints and dyes. The studies were scanned and manipulated digitally to create additional texture and abstraction.
